Environmental Science and Engineering (EnSE)
The Environmental Science and Engineering (EnSE) Program educates and trains students to address global challenges related to sustainability and the environment, focusing on the intersection of water, energy, and food in both natural and urban systems.
Students admitted to the program take four core courses in addition to technical elective courses. Together, core and elective courses cover essential areas in water and wastewater treatment, water desalination, microbiological safety of water reuse, statistical analyses, environmental sustainability and management, scientific and technical writing and food production in dryland environments. The core- plus elective courses offered will equip students for a successful and productive career in these fields.
